Last Saturday I had the opportunity to take Lyrik up to Snow Basin for her first time on the slopes. It was a perfect day except for the fact that 10,000 other people had the same idea. I really didn't know what to expect by taking her. I will admit, I prayed for lots of patients. Once there, I soon realized what a blessing it is as a parent to spend time in a one on one setting with each of your children. It's amazing to see the difference in character of that child when you give them your undivided attention. We had such a great time that Jaime and I have set a goal to have a date night with each child once a month. It is such a joy for me to do things with my kids that I loved to do when I was their age.(As the video shows) this was Lyr's first attempt at skiing. After three runs with my help she was ready to go on her own. By the end of the day she had turned into quite the little skier. We had so much fun, I can't wait to take Crew next week.

Good job Jus! I'm proud of you. And good job Lyr. There aren't many kids who have a dad like that. That looks so fun. That is something we both miss is skiing. We'll have to have Lyrik teach us again since she's a pro now. You look awesome!
Jaime...Where is that picture taken for the header...it looks beautiful. Jake has taken Ellie skiing a few times and she loved it but it has been a long time. I will have to get my butt in gear and take her sometime...I just wish it wasn't so pricy for a pass to Snowbasin!
I had to laugh at Crew playing basketball what a stinking cutie...Jake isn't much of a basketball player anymore I will have to have Justin give Zac some pointers when it comes time for Jr. Jazz....Does Lyrik play basketball? I wish I had thought to put Ellie in but now with everything else it would just be too much.
ANyway,,didn't mean to write a novel here.
Hope to see you soon for a haircut..I need it bad!
